I love using design to help make people’s lives a bit easier and more enjoyable.
I first learned about user experience design during undergrad while working through school as a computer support tech. I would visit extremely intelligent and talented professors that would blame themselves for not being able to figure out, what they considered, simple tasks on their computers. It showed me the effect poor design can have. After getting some experience in business and project management, I decided to find out how some of the products we use everyday could be made better.
I graduated with a Master of Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon in 2014. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of designing experiences for award winning chefs, car junkies, and a bit of everyone in between. I’m currently a user experience designer at eBay.
I’m a father of four and am a little surprised to say I’m in the middle of going through a third viewing of Downton Abbey with the Mrs. If you’re interested, I would be happy to trade Texas BBQ and pizzaiolo skills for a surfing mentorship.
